PVP - A Pipeline for Mental Health Support

Physicians face an often crushing load and morally dehumanizing system in the process of providing care to their patients. This membership benefit program was created to serve Idaho's physicians and other medically licensed professionals. Members of the following participating organizations may request appointments by clicking on the link above.

• No notice is given to your employer nor the Board of Medicine/Nursing
• No insurance or EAP billing is involved
• Your medical society doesn't know of your utilization by name
• You make appointments directly with our contracted mental health providers
• You can choose from telehealth or in-person visits

Designed for You by Your Peers

We do our best to provide care that is:

• ​Competent - Idaho physicians and behavioral health specialists interviewed mental health providers with a reputation for assisting healthcare professionals by addressing common issues like depression, imposter syndrome, perfectionism, and burnout.
• Convenient - You can typically make appointments within a week or two through a couple of calls or emails. Hours vary by providers, including some weekend and evening time slots available via telehealth and at locations throughout Idaho.
• Cost-free - this benefit is designed to make it easier for you to initiate self-care without thinking about monetary costs up front. If you wish to continue treatment beyond this, you can discuss payment arrangements directly with the provider.

​Eligible members may utilize up to five (5) sessions per twelve-month period (starting with the first appointment and renewing 12 months later.) 

• Ada County Medical Society (ACMS) eligible members include physicians, physician assistants, and nurse practitioners; residents, active or retired.
• Idaho Academy of Family Practitioners (IAFP) eligible members include active or retired physicians and medical residents.​
• Idaho Medical Association (IMA) - all licensed members
• MIEC (Medical Insurance Exchange of California) - all Idaho based physician members
• ​Currently, IMA Member medical students are not qualified for PVP unless it is a critical need and they cannot get in to their school provided/contracted counselor.

Members may not combine overlapping membership eligibility and stack the covered number of appointments together.

Family members may attend counseling sessions with members, but the client of record is the member and must be present.
