Peer to Peer ProgramsPeer Supporters are your colleagues who are trained and can confidentially reach out and provide support as someone who has “been there” to combat the stress associated with those events or patient situations. Confidential, personal outreach and support to providers involved in a significant or adverse event without fear of disclosure. These programs are set-up by our two regional medical centers/systems and modeled after a successful Brigham Womens Hospital program.

Health Professionals Recovery Program (formerly the Physician Recovery Network)
Formerly known as the Physician Recovery Network (PRN), HPRP is a confidential, non-coercive, and non-punitive alternative to formal disciplinary action offered by the Idaho State Board of Medicine and the Idaho Board of Nursing through the Department of Professional Licensing. The program facilitates prevention, identification, intervention, and rehabilitation for Idaho physicians, physician assistants, and Nurse Practitioners who have, or are at risk for developing disorders which are associated with functional impairment, or suffering from chemical abuse or dependency, mental health issues, or behavioral problems. HPRP works in a manner consistent with the laws and medical and Nursing practice acts of the State of Idaho to provide a safe environment in a medical setting.
